SHIFT – Holistic Living & Psychic Fair– Provider Invitation Letter

Vendors, alternative practitioners and workshop presenters are now being invited to participate in the SHIFT New York Holistic Living & Psychic Fair at Holiday Inn, Oneonta, NY, on Saturday & Sunday,  October 26th & 27th, 2013.

People are shifting their awareness toward natural health and more meaningful spiritual lives. This Fair is offering them some of the best complimentary health practitioners, inspirational workshop presenters, and Spiritual Intuitive Teachers from our area and the east coast to guide them.

This is the 3rd SHIFT Holistic and Psychic Fair, which has built on the success of the Annual Spiritual Arts Fair that has been attended by a loyal crowd of over 300 for 9 resoundingly successful years in Oneonta. The bigger venue of the Holiday Inn, has exceeded our expectations by allowing us to expand our opportunities for vendors, readers, healers and workshop presenters, and reach out to a much bigger audience. 

Last Spring's May 10th Shift Fair brought in over 500 visitors, and was a resounding success, having raised $2,500 for our charity.  A portion of the proceeds from the October 26, 27 SHIFT New York Fair will go to the Glen Wild Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Center in Cherry Valley, owned and operated by Liz Keller. 

We reached more thatn 500,000 people through new mailing lists, facebook ads, and other advertising, and anticipate crowds of over 1,000 people.

Who We Are Inviting

  • special interest healers/readers/workshops/vendors who address healthy/holistic options for children (health & learning) & pregnancy, seniors, and the environment. This includes alternative schools & colleges

    Selection criteria include timeliness of application and the goal of providing the broadest possible experience for attendees. If you are coming from out of town & need a place to stay,  the Holiday Inn is offering a special $95 rate to vendors in the SHIFT Fair.  Call Diana if you want to know about local bed and breakfasts in the area.

    Vendors We are seeking vendors offering products, services, and education that help people to realize their personal and family health and lifestyle dreams and visions. A great opportunity for vendors of holiday gifts (Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas, Hannukah), spiritual items, green living, organic products and informational tables. Vendor hours are from Saturday 10 am- 5 pm, and Sunday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, with set-up being from 7:30 am - 10:00 am.  Your vending fee includes 6-10 months of free online publicity on the website, which will go up in September and stay up through the winter months, so your clients can continue to find you.

    The fee for vending is $125 for an 8 ft. table, for the two days (14 hours) of the Fair. This price includes electric outlets and free wifi. You will be provided with a 8' x 2' table and tablecloth, and bring your own extension cords, signage and table decorations. Let us know if you need to be close to electricity, or need to be on a wall.  Two chairs are available for every vending space.  You may leave your tables set up overnight.  There are options- if you can only come for Saturday its $70, if you can only come for Sunday- its $70.  A half-table is available for $40 for one day or $65. for both days.  (eg- for face painting, henna tattoos, chair massage. (Bring your own Massage Chair or healing table).  If you need to expand to one and a half tables, the price for vending is $180.

    Lectures/Workshops There is no fee to provide a lecture or workshop. Workshop leaders offer their gifts in exchange for the free publicity provided leading up to the fair, and to develop interest in their own future classes, events or growing client base. Sessions last 50 minutes. Each workshop leader will be assigned a private room & a time- slot in which to present. Come prepared with all supplies and materials needed for the presentation, and your own flyers, mailing lists, etc.. Let us know if you would rather do Saturday or Sunday.

    Psychic/Intuitive Readers and Healers :  Saturday 10:00 am-5:00 pm;  Sunday 10:00 am - 5:00pm. We have spots for 10 healers and 10 readers on each day. The vending fees are all the same as what is listed above under "vendor"-  is $125 for the entire fair- or Friday only $70; Saturday only $70. Set your own prices, and make your own signs  to advertise prices, with a minimum, which is no less than $30 for 30 minutes or $15 for 15 minutes. You will make your own SIGN-UP SHEET with timeslots for your clients to sign up either when they get there, or also to pre-book with you to assure a session with you when they arrive at fair.  Your contact information, description of your service, bio, picture, video (if you have it) will be available to them on this website.

    Prior to final acceptance into the Fair, we ask that all readers and healers provide a session for a member of the planning committee in order to expedite the selection process. If you already were approved for the UU Spiritual Arts Fair, or for a SHIFT Fair in the past, this will not be necessary.

Program: You will get a 3 line listing for your workshop, or service offering, with two lines for a bio for free in the program.  Full Display ads for your business are available in the program, which will be handed to all visitors, for $35 for half page; $60 for a Full Page.

Free Publicity/Social Media: Your pic, bio and video bio will be on our webpage (, notice on facebook ( ) and twitter page, a youtube channel, a linked in site. Advance ticket sales online/local stores will help us be best prepared for the smoothest flow of the fair ($6 advance or $8 at the door). We are looking forward to getting your info out there early, and appreciate your help in spreading the word on your sites also.

Produce a Video about you and your Business:  For a separate fee, Swamiji can work with you to produce a 3 minute video, which can be posted on the SHIFT website.  E-mail directly to him to discuss the specifics about your promotional video: swamisadashivatirtha AT (replace the 'AT' with the '@' when sending an email)

If you would like to participate in SHIFT New York 2013, please fill out the online application and submit by September 1st, 2013. Earlier applications will receive extra blessings! Spaces are booked on a first come-first served basis for those who are accepted.
